CWN announces the launch of this year 's Development and Outreach Project entitled, A Place Together. This multi-faceted project will take place in libraries and centres throughout Belfast through the support of the Belfast City Council and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland 's Lottery Fund along with the support of our partners Community Arts Forum, Linen Hall Library, Culture NI, and Carew II Family and Training Centre.
The project aims to examine the changing face of Belfast by looking at the concept of shared space as it applies to the individual and to their communities. We hope to include participants of all ages and all backgrounds.
Planned are children 's Halloween storymaking workshops through libraries, digital storytelling workshops for young people delivered through community centres and adult writing workshops with a cross-community ethos.
If you are interested in finding out more about taking part in this project, contact the office for your nearest project location or check the list of scheduled workshops below. Places are limited so don 't delay.
A PLACE TOGETHER
CWN will deliver one project in partnership with Community Arts Forum's ARTiculate programme. Available only to groups within Belfast, it will provide an extra facilitator for 20 hours and extra funding for materials.
Projects might include: creation of a script for a theatre or film based project, creation of text for a storytelling performance, using words, stories, or poetry in the creation of a piece of visual art or sculpture. Projects with a cross-community element or those examining shared or changing communities would be most welcome.
Interested groups should apply through the normal CAF process. Follow this link to the CAF website for more details on ARTiculate.
